Every employee deserves to bring their best to work.
Refill Health was founded in 2023 on a single conviction — that mental wellbeing at work should be clinical,

Support existed on paper. Reaching it was the part we set out to solve.
For years, mental health at work in India followed a familiar pattern: a benefit listed in an induction pack, a helpline number that sat quietly on a page, and an employee left to walk alone from the moment they realised they needed help to the moment they actually received it.
The awareness was there. The intent was there. What it still needed was a clinical spine - screening that meant something, a person to guide the way, and a way to know whether it was working.
A story that began inside the workplace.

For much of his career, our founder, Srinivasa Rao Pattapusetti, worked inside large organisations - the kind with thousands of employees, well-run HR functions, and every intention of doing right by their people. And still, he kept noticing the same quiet thing.
A capable colleague who slowly went quiet. A talented teammate carrying something heavy from home into every meeting, quietly looking for a place at work to set it down. People doing their best to stay focused while something inside them asked for attention the people around them wished they knew how to give.
The support was supposed to exist. There was a policy. There was, somewhere, a number to call. But between a person realising they were carrying too much and that person actually sitting across from the right professional lay a wide, quiet distance - and very few ever made it across.
The help was there. The path to it was what people needed.
He saw it often enough to recognise a pattern in how the system was designed. The programmes on offer treated mental health as a phone number, where it deserved to be a clinical journey - one with a proper screening at the start, a guide through the middle, and a measurement at the end to show whether people were truly getting better.
In India especially, the distance ran deep. Silence around mental health made it hard for people to raise their hand. For the few who did, timely and qualified care stayed hard to reach. And employers, wanting to help, were handed tools that counted sign-ups where they longed to see outcomes.
In June 2023, he decided to stop working around the distance and start building a bridge across it.
Refill Health began with a simple reframe: treat workplace mental health as real healthcare. That meant clinical screening with validated instruments, a Care Navigator to guide each person to the right support, evidence-based care delivered by qualified professionals, and measurement at every step - so improvement could be seen and shown.
It was always meant to be more than another wellness app layered on top. It was built to be the clinical spine the old model had always deserved.
I kept meeting people who were quietly carrying more than anyone knew — and watching workplaces that genuinely wanted to help reach for tools that fell short. Writing another memo about wellbeing held little appeal. I wanted to build the thing I kept wishing existed: care that actually reaches the person, guides them through, and can prove it made a difference. That is the whole reason Refill Health exists.
